We love to hate, we hate to love
This den we call Facebook.
A soapbox, a business, a home of love;
Did we ever think we’d be hooked?
But then comes the day you were born on this earth,
And before it’s even sunrise,
The messages of greeting and well wishes
Are a burst of a happy surprise.
And throughout the day you check back in
And read each post with a smile.
For each person’s name brings to your mind
Memories that have lingered awhile.
The path of my life has been crossed many times
By each and ev’ry one of you.
And when your name came up as a comment or post,
It brought back those snapshots anew.
If for nothing else, this “waster of time”
As we check in throughout the day,
Has made me so grateful for all of you
And the wishes of yesterday!
